Mai Goto – Taiko Artist
Mai Goto is a taiko performer from Japan with over 20 years of experience.
She began drumming at the age of 8 and has developed a powerful yet graceful style that blends traditional rhythms with modern expression and movement.
After studying abroad in the United States, she gained a renewed appreciation for her own culture and became passionate about sharing its richness with the world.
With a deep sense of pride, she carries the spirit of Japan in every performance, hoping to play a part in introducing the beauty of Japanese culture to global audiences.
Her mission is to present tradition in a fresh and inspiring way that connects people across cultures.
She is also exploring collaborations with other art forms ,such as dance, vocals, and musical instruments, expanding the possibilities of taiko as a unique and expressive art.
